Steven J. Klein is President and Chief Operating Officer for American Security & Investigations headquartered in 
St. Paul, Minnesota. Steve joined American Security in 2005 as its Vice President of Business Development and was soon promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager for its Armored Operations Division. In October 2006 American Security sold its Armored Operations 
Division but retained Steve to lead as President and COO its remaining security and investigations services businesses. Steve plans to grow American Security & Investigations to more than double its size over the next five years in order to serve customers nationally.

Steve is an accomplished business leader who has held operations management, sales and marketing and leadership positions in a number of different business sectors including security services, facility and medical alarm monitoring, virtual surveillance, fire and life safety, armored car, transportation, cash management and banking.

Immediately prior to joining American Security, he was Director of Business Development for Guardian Security Services. Steve is remembered there for his contributions in operational leadership and sales and marketing that allowed Guardian to grow to be one of the largest privately-held providers of end-to-end security solutions in the United States.

A graduate of Indiana University, Steve holds a Bachelors Degree in General Studies with minors in Business Administration, Speech Communications and Personnel Supervision. He has been recognized by the State of Indiana for his outstanding citizenship receiving a “Distinguished Hoosier” designation and by the State of Kentucky for his business accomplishments with the “Kentucky Colonel” designation.

Steve resides with his wife, children and dogs in Hudson, Wisconsin and is an avid college basketball fan.
